For more than four decades, my personal and professional life has required me to manage competing priorities, solve problems, and keep important projects moving forward. It hasn’t always gone the way I planned.

I’ve had my share of successes, and I’ve also had my share of failed plans, health issues, lost momentum, and times I avoided something far longer than I should have. Through those setbacks, I learned that falling short doesn’t always come from a lack of effort or ability. Many times I knew exactly what needed to be done and was fully capable of doing it, yet the follow-through still didn’t happen.

What finally helped was learning to step back, understand what was getting in the way, make an adjustment, and focus on the single next action that would help me make progress. I repeated those steps again and again until they became a reliable system for completing what I started.

That system became THE ONE TASK. I created it to share what I had to learn the hard way, and to help others use the same approach to build a plan that fits them and whatever they’re working on. THE ONE TASK helps you understand what’s happening, get unstuck, take the next useful action, adjust when needed, and keep moving until the task is finished.

My coaching combines this personal experience with professional training in ADHD coaching, executive function coaching, life coaching, and brain injury fundamentals. What I’m most passionate about is helping people build the confidence to get moving again and follow through on what matters most to them until it’s DONE.
